Well, here we are already in October and it is officially Fall here in Indiana! I have a feeling we are going to see a lot of fall colors for these images this month! First, I want to thank Helen and Deedee for gracing us with their wonderful talents for the month of September! Second, I am excited to introduce to you Amanda and Dawn our Guest Designers for the month of October. They too, bring a lot of talent to the month of September and I feel very blessed to have them come play along this month. So, why don't you give them a nice welcome!

Since I love October, I am so excited to bring you some wonderful images for this month. We are going to kick off the first 2 weeks with some cute Halloween images I hope you will adore. Then we are going to move into more of a fall/harvest theme. I realize not everyone has the change of seasons, but I find these images to be very versatile.

This week's image is called "Mouse Candy". One thing you should know about me is that I am a big rodent fan! I love mice and rats and I mean the real ones. Of course I mean only as pets, not necessarily the wild ones running around the house. We have 3 rats as pets right now and have had a mix in the past years. I know, I know there will be lots of you that will go "eek" and some that know and understand exactly what I mean. As pets, mice and rats make wonderful pets and I would have a rat any day! :O) So, you may see lots of mice and rats in future images! LOL...

("Mouse Candy" is no longer available for free... I am in a process of getting a website up and going to make available to you not only these images, but many more originals by me in digital form and in the near future photopolymer as well... it's all in "the works"! In just hours a new free image will be released)

This weeks challenge is brought to us by Nilla. She would like to see you use the image I have provided "Mouse Candy" and use the colors orange, black and one other color of your choice on your card

The prize for this week’s random drawing for whoever participates in this weeks challenge and links their work back here is:

LOL.. OK... NOT really... that is our lovely rat Louise... she is really not the prize! I would have one upset little boy if I gave her away, and maybe an upset participant if they opened up a package and found a rat! OK.. I was just being a rat with a little humor and just couldn't stop myself! So, now the real prize for the random drawing will be:

Now for the oh so talented...

This week I bring you a little "love" in another kind of doodle type image. It has a contemporary feel to it, or is it country? LOL... Maybe a mix?! Nothing to complex about it though, but be careful, looks can be deceiving, just ask Curt! :O) (wink wink). So, have fun, mix up the colors and see what you can do. I can't wait to see everyone's creations! Can you see the "love" in this image? Well, if you can, leave a little "love" yourself by leaving these great designers a message as well as me and tell us what you think in a post below. We would "love" to hear from you!

MAGICAL MONDAY - Ribbon & Bow

Today I bring you "Eldon with Flower"! Isn't he just the cutest! Now, I have to tell you the story behind this cute little caterpillar and also why his debut is in September. Helen, one our Guest Designers, prior to knowing she would ever be a Guest Designer had a dream one night about my stamps and she approached me with a few ideas of what she had envisioned and so I took my sketch pad on vacation with me and messed around and I approached her with a Guest spot and as you can see she said yes and so I just knew that this image should debut in the same month. She had no idea I had drawn him up and so when I sent her the September images he was there for a little extra surprise for her. I have to say I just love him and you will be seeing more of this little fellow in future images.

With Eldon, I intentionally kept him free of stripes, dots and other patterns, mainly because I wanted crafters to be able to "dress" him up in different ways and be able to change his look if they wanted to. I did this with the images on my other blog. I had a lot of fun making "designer Eldons"!

So, snag Eldon, take the time to leave some luvins in a post for the designers and tell me what you think of Eldon. Also, see if you can carve out some time and play along with the challenge this week.

("Eldon with flower" is no longer available for free... I am in a process of getting a website up and going to make available to you not only these images, but many more originals by me in digital form and in the near future photopolymer as well... it's all in "the works"! In just hours a new free image will be released)

Curt brings us this weeks challenge which is to use the image I have provided "Eldon with Flower" and use some ribbon and add a bow! Yep, it's that simple and wonderful!! So, grab some time, the image and of course your ribbon and let the metamorphosis begin!

MAGICAL MONDAY - Emboss (heat or dry) or Score somthing

The special person to receive the random drawing prize for participating in last weeks challenge is:

Lisa Lorigan

Please send me your address at magicintheair@att.net so I can get this out to you. CONGRATS and ENJOY!

I was always one of those kids that loved to doodle. Through my school years my notebooks would be filled with oodles of doodles and to this day I still love to just doodle. This flower is kind of a doodle for me and I really love that this flower can be used so many different ways. The designers really rocked this image with elegant, contemporary, fun and colorful designs. This image "Deco Flower" really is quite versatile. So, make sure you snag it and come play along this week with the challenge, we loved to see just how you use it!

I would really love to see the numbers grow in the challenge links to make me believe that this blog is worth the upkeep and the great work that is required by all the designers as well. PLEASE leave me and the team a message if you snag a free image, tell us what you think, I really am looking for feedback as well! A special THANKS for all who have taken the time to actually participate in the past challenges and/or left me/us a message in past posts! Leaving some lovin's is really a great thing! :O)

This weeks challenge comes to us from Leigh Anne. She would like to see you heat or dry emboss something on your card. If you don't have the tools to heat or dry emboss, score some lines, a pattern or be creative with some type of scoring. You can use the tool that comes with rub-ons to score with if you have one of those or something that has a rounded head of some sort.
