The special person to receive the random drawing prize for participating in last weeks challenge is:

Lisa Lorigan

Please send me your address at magicintheair@att.net so I can get this out to you. CONGRATS and ENJOY!

I was always one of those kids that loved to doodle. Through my school years my notebooks would be filled with oodles of doodles and to this day I still love to just doodle. This flower is kind of a doodle for me and I really love that this flower can be used so many different ways. The designers really rocked this image with elegant, contemporary, fun and colorful designs. This image "Deco Flower" really is quite versatile. So, make sure you snag it and come play along this week with the challenge, we loved to see just how you use it!

I would really love to see the numbers grow in the challenge links to make me believe that this blog is worth the upkeep and the great work that is required by all the designers as well. PLEASE leave me and the team a message if you snag a free image, tell us what you think, I really am looking for feedback as well! A special THANKS for all who have taken the time to actually participate in the past challenges and/or left me/us a message in past posts! Leaving some lovin's is really a great thing! :O)

("Deco Flower" is no longer available for free... I am in a process of getting a website up and going to make available to you not only these images, but many more originals by me in digital form and in the near future photopolymer as well... it's all in "the works"! In just hours a new free image will be released)

This weeks challenge comes to us from Leigh Anne. She would like to see you heat or dry emboss something on your card. If you don't have the tools to heat or dry emboss, score some lines, a pattern or be creative with some type of scoring. You can use the tool that comes with rub-ons to score with if you have one of those or something that has a rounded head of some sort.

The prize for this week’s random drawing for whoever participates in this weeks challenge and links their work back here is:

Wow, can it really be September already? Yikes! I hope you have enjoyed the first month's worth of free images! Not only I am excited to bring you September's images, I am excited to introduce you to the new Guest Designers for the month of September! They are Helen Croft and Deedee Anderson. Make sure you click on their names and check out their blogs. They both bring a lot of talent to the month of September and I feel very blessed to have them come play along this month.

We are going to start this month off with "Nate & Av". These two feisty fellows are are as different as can be in physical size, but their admiration for each other is quite large. The name of this stamp is "Nate & Av - You're Special". Just in case you are wondering, Nate is the Lion and Av is the mouse! :O) If you also want to learn an interesting little fact about this image you can find it here.

MAGICAL MONDAY - Paper Piecing

Gosh, I can hardly believe this is the last week of the month for August. Next week we will start a whole new month and we will have 2 new Guest Designers! I truly want to thank Karen and Ulrica for being such great GD's for the month of August!! (((applause)))

The one to be squealing who will receive the random drawing prize for participating in last weeks challenge is: Sari

Please send me your address at magicintheair@att.net so I can get this out to you. CONGRATS and ENJOY!

This week’s free image is "Gigi on tube". Yes, if you visited my blog in the early stages you might recognize this week's image. If you weren't around in the beginning then "Surprise"! Yes, Gigi is one pampered pig and she is just chilling and letting life pass her by as she floats about, in style of course!

The challenge for this week is: Paper Piecing. If you don't have a clue about how to do this with a digital stamp I found this to be great you don't have to do it this way (I just googled this), but this might be a nice little piece of knowledge to have when working with digital stamps. Of course just the cutting and coloring is OK with me too!! So I say give it a try and join in the fun and share you creation with all of us! You know we are dying to see them!

Unfortunately Ulrica was unable to participate this week. She fell and hurt her hand/wrist and was unable to paper craft with Gigi. We certainly will miss her creation for this week! Hope you're healing Ulrica!

This first month I will be playing along here; then you can find my creations on my other blog Having An Art-A-Tack

I tried hard to place a sentiment on the outside of my card, but it just didn't fit on the way I wanted it to, so I just gave up and placed it inside. It says: "You're Sun Sational"

We would love to see your creations this week with this fun image... so snag Gigi and don't forget to come back and post your creation for us all to see!!

MAGICAL MONDAY - Get INSPIRED

If you are new to digital images, please be aware you do not need a special program to do these. You can bring a digital image up in Microsoft WORD and WORKS. If you are not knowledgeable about what you are doing with a digital image or how to save it or bring it up once saved; you can find that information here and if you have trouble, please e-mail me and I will attempt to help you through it with a timely response.

This week’s free image is this cute little duck trampling through a puddle in his rubber boots and hat with his favorite boat! This is a fun image and I think this could be used in many ways with lots of fun sentiments. This cute image is called "Elvis in boots". So, as you fly by to snag Elvis why not consider playing along in this weeks challenge as well!

Now if you don't have one of these Uni-ball Signo pens or have never used one you will love it! It's the best white pen out there I think. I love to use it to doodle with a lot and can't imagine never having it on hand!

I did this next card, because I wanted to show you what you can do if you have a program such as Photo Shop, Print Shop or other programs such as these. These programs give you the ability to crop the image close and place them closer together like in this card. This is one of the wonderful things about digital images. If you don't have a program Print Shop Deluxe is really not that expensive and fairly easy to use. It would really be worth the $50.00 to get it to do digital images in and your sentiments. I love this program and I use to just make clip art cards in it, but discovered how wonderful it really was for something like this. So, you might want to check it out if you don't want to spend a lot of money and want a nice, fairly easy to learn program to do digital images in. I also use it a lot for scrapbooking in many different ways. I have done digi scapbook pages as well. You can find the program here you want to check it out. Details for this card can be found on my other blog.

Now I know you had to delight in all these "Elvis in boots" cards. Make sure you check out everyone's blogs for a close up and details of their cards. They all turned out super cute! So, now let's see yours!! I am sure some of your delightful work might even "quack" me up! So, in the mean time while I am waiting for you to return with your lovely creation, have a Ducky Day!
